Just like every big weekend in Vegas, LDW means that the City is going to be BUSY everywhere! If you're planning on hitting a club or pool party while in town know what to expect!
The popular clubs will all have HUGE waits, there are thousands of people trying to get in to Hakkasan, XS, Omnia, Surrender, Marquee, etc on the big weekends. Don't expect to just walk right in without a wait. Bring a drink with you to the line and expect to be standing around with everyone else for a while. This even pertains to those getting VIP table service. The clubs can only check in so many people at a time.
Encore Beach Club and WetRepublic line waits are comparable. Arrive early, no later than 1030 a.m. if you don't want to be at the end of the line. Wear swimwear and bring your ID and cash. Don't bring towels or sunscreen.
If you're taking a taxi anywhere, expect congested lanes all up and down Las Vegas BLVD. When your promoter tells you to arrive at 10:30 PM Latest, that doesn't mean leave your hotel at 10:15. Leave a minimum of 30 minutes before your ETA to the club you're attending. That will account for traffic delays and wondering thru all of our huge casinos.
Dress code isn't as big as it use to be years ago for ladies. In the past ladies were required to wear heels to get in to the hot-spots, but there's so much competition now in the club game that as long as you show up you're going to get in. That doesn't mean wear flip-flops, but flats are fine and even certain sneakers. Although keep in mind that most girls out in Vegas will be dressed to the 9s.
